Birthday bandage

A bandage dress is a tight-fitting "bodycon" dress that is (or appears to be) made from multiple thin strips of cloth sewn together, with the individual strips shaped like bandages. The bandage dress was made popular by the designer Hervé Léger in the 1990s.

However, the body hugging dress made its first appearance in 1986 as part of a collection of form fitting dresses and clothing. This collection was released and designed by renowned fashion designer Azzedine Alaia, whom was known as the “King of Cling”.

Bandage dresses were  original designed to enhance and shape the natural feminine proportions and profile of a woman.
