COWGIRL.

When dressing up, I tend to impersonate/ mimic characters. This isn't intentional but just a part of me,

I get very bored of fashion or looks and I am most excited when I get to explore new ideas or put together new looks. I like to feel different everyday. For example, Yesterday I was a rich history professor working at Yale, today I am a cowgirl who has time travelled into the 21st century. Tomorrow I might be Tracey, the girl next door. I love how with fashion there is no wrong or right. You can become anything you want, there is no limit to who you can be. Fashion has always been an escape route for me, a lie, a trick, a way to manipulate society to really believe that I was confident.

This look was inspired by the American west  (from about 1840). During this time, leather made from animal skin was popular, clothing was derived from cattle (beef and leather).

"The Hollywood image of cowboys was not realistic. Many real cowboys were black ex-slaves, whereas the Hollywood heroes were always white. Also, after the hardships of the long drive, it seems unlikely that many genuine cowboys were specially good-looking!

They were, however, highly skilled. They could ride, shoot, lasso, wrangle, round up, herd, cross rivers, 'turn' stampedes, scout, keep watch and drive off rustlers - all in rain, hail and burning sun".

Hope you enjoyed this.
